Just a really bloody lovely week. 1. the local pa Just a really bloody lovely week.

1. the local park and its rose bush flex

2. Coffee run & my attempt at a Princess Diana off duty outfit 🫠

3. A novella - atmospheric, contemplative & wonderfully Woolfian… but cor blimey did it hurt my wee brain

4. A Saturday morning run across the South Downs. Hideous vistas. I hate living here 🌚

5. The art of the self-swoon? Completed it pal🎨 took myself off for one of @juliacameronlive’s famous artist dates to one of my favourite local restaurants @mangetoutbrighton. The perfect spot for lunch or dinner and a drop of wine. There was another woman in there sat on her own with her book. At one point we both looked up from our pages and smiled knowingly ~ the life changing magic of a table for one.

6. Rhubarb & croissant bread and butter pudding, another Mange Tout masterpiece (just don’t tell my acupuncturist @momamafertility or she’ll make me show her my tongue 😂🤍)

7. Provençal tales from the lovely eccentric book man under Brighton station. Always worth a chat with him, he’s such a character and has some wonderful rare books 🧓🏻

8. A wholesome meeting with @yawnlondon at @meanwhile_cafe (my second home)

9. My beloved @_charlottesweb in a deep and meaningful tête-à-tête with Milo about his 4pm flatulence. Not all heroes wear capes, some wear bandanas

Pr invite* An incredible ‘Sussex on a Plate’ d Pr invite* An incredible ‘Sussex on a Plate’ dining experience at @isaac_at_

We had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu and every course was (don’t say it, don’t say it) chef’s kiss.

From field to fork, the menus are inspired by the agricultural bounty of the Sussex downs. All the ingredients are locally sourced daily, working in harmony with the seasons and nature’s availability. It’s also the first restaurant in the world to be serving an all-English wine list. This was not wasted on me, dear reader.

If you’re looking for a special, unassuming, dinner spot with incredible service, immaculate vibes and a joyful essence that translates to every dish, grab a table.

My stand-outs:

Chalkstream Trout with Radish, Coriander & Bonemarrow

Courgette with Blue Cheese, Sweetgem Lettuce & Green Pepper (they really said vegetables don’t have to be boring)

Trenchmore beef, wild horseradish & potato
